Most
of the great websites that we work on have had extremely good results both from
readers and from the search engines. In some cases the mere presence of a Memorable
Places designed website has boosted their business beyond what they had ever hoped
an online presence could do. A couple of quick examples are in order:
Tactical
Intervention Specialists: The police sergeant who wanted to get an online
presence to sell precision rifle (sniper rifle) "Quick Cuff" slings
probably never dreamed how far some excellent publicity would carry him. When
we signed the contract to build his site he had yet to make any money at all off
of sales of his slings. We are proud to report that as of this writing the publicity
and interest in his product has resulted in him signing contracts to sell his
product to the United States Military! he has of course also sold to many other
clients in and out of government. Mike is proud to tell people that he has never
had to spend any money in advertising thanks to our efforts. Mike also notes that
had he not had the website we designed for him he would not have been contacted
to do numerous reviews in his field of expertise and would not have made many
of the contacts that he has made that have helped him out both in his business
and in his chosen profession. If you would like to read more about TIS's success

us and how we helped his business with a great website.
The
It's A Wonderful Life Webring Page: One of our favorite movies is It's
A Wonderful Life or IAWL. The success here is the free publicity the IAWL Webring
has gleaned. Through the efforts of our staff we have attracted one of the original
IAWL cast members to join our ring and we have gotten the IAWL site written up
in numerous places on the web as well as Yahoo Internet Life Magazine, several
newspapers, and reportedly in TV Guide as well! We continue to get mentioned in
newspapers and magazines almost every Christmas. Please click

GameStats News Network: While not strictly
a "MemorablePlaces Project" we were extremely deeply involved with the
network as employees and management. GameStats was a computer gaming news and
information website which was comprised of many thousands of pages of reviews,
interviews, contests, affiliates and more. The network was very well received
in the gaming community and at the time of our departure was receiving about 12-13
million of pageviews (hits) a month network wide. We did countless reviews,
web pages, and publicity duties that other gaming news sites only dream of. We
also were responsible for conceiving and administering a massive Christmas Charity
Drive called Games Of Encouragement that netted thousands of donations
every year for the Ronald McDonald House. We resigned from GameStats in June of
2000 because of an ownership and management change. GameStats no longer exists
as it was when we were there.
The
M1 Newbie Site: The M1 Garand An American Companion In Three Wars
was a site we started just to show off a product we had purchased from the CMP.
However it snowballed into a huge production of 431 files almost 200 of which
are webpages We did all the photography and artistry in-house and produced basically
an online owners manual for this piece of historic equipment.
Because
of the publicity and more importantly the quality of the M1 Garand site we built,
the CMP purchased most of it from us in 2002. The Nomenclature
and Accessories section we produced has put them near near the top of the
list of many search engines for the keywords "M1
Garand". Later that same year, the CMP returned as a MemorablePlaces
Consulting client and purchased most of the rest of the M1 Garand site. We also
were asked to recode their front page for them so as to make it more user friendly
to a wider number of browsers.
Though most of
the site is now owned and operated by the CMP we still get lots of fan mail and
people online are constantly referencing it. It is VERY rare that a day goes by
without a letter coming in about this site.
We
could go on about other companies like Jardiness Custom, Valtro, Nor-Cal Precision,
and others, but suffice it to say that all of our clients to this point have seen
an upsurge in business and become far more visible as an online presence.
In
addition OurLosBanos.com is another one of our huge successes. Join the forums
over there and ask around to get a real feel for just how popular the site has
become.
