NOTICE: At This Time MemorablePlaces Is No Longer Seeking New CustomersWe are not fully certain at this point what we are going to do, but closing our website design operation down is a probable option. Our current active clients (most of whom have become our friends) will still receive the support they have always gotten from us but we are no longer actively seeking new Clientele.
IAWL Webring Changes

Spent some time working on the It's A Wonderful Life Webring pages tonight. Added some tags to the pages and such. Was spurred to do this because I heard that google had changed the way they do their search engine order and wanted to make sure that we stayed right up there.

Strange that at a time when we are going to probably close down our webdesign operation that we would be met with some very interesting SEO news. Looks like Google changed the way they do ordering of sites. Our clients have always done VERY well with our sites, but I noted with glee that many of them actually improved markedly in Google's order.. some moving up MANY slots.Have a look at the Client's SEO page for a lt more detail on this. I think that is one thing we can be proud of. There are examples of other search engine success stories on that page, but here are the new Google Results. NOTE: I am noticing the "out of numbers fluctuating wildly in the last 24 hours... I bet Google is doing some sort of major overhaul but I really can not be sure.

Jardine's Custom Is On The Air!

We are VERY proud to announce that we have just finished the Jardine's Custom 1911 website. We have worked with John before and made a website for his other company Valtro USA. Jardine's Custom Gunsmithing manufactures beautiful, supremely accurate, and highly reliable custom 1911 handguns. John Jardine is a master pistolsmith who has enjoyed a well-deserved reputation for simply outstanding work since 1965 when he apprenticed under a truly legendary 1911 handgun expert.In other News.... We are working very hard on 3 other sites... one for a realtor, one for a lawyer, and one for a Investment Firm.... Depending on client feedback we may have at least one more of these sites on the air within a fortnight.... (What IS a fortnight? :-)
New Clients Aplenty

We are pleased that we are nearing completion of the artwork phase for the Jardine's Custom website! We should have John's website online within a month if we can coordinate hours and interviews.We are pleased to announce that Ward & Associates a lawfirm has contracted with MP to do their website. More on this coming son!
After nearly a year Investment Architects has re-contacted us and is now ready to do their site. We will be putting together their website as well.
We have made a number of enhancements to a lot of clients sites, and we just reloacted Precise-Auto to a much better server. Sorry for the lack of updates but with all that is going on including a major expansion of the Valtro USA website we just have not been able to get time to post little notes here.
Working On Our Own Home (For Once! :-)

Well from time to time we look at our own site and see that things need to be done. Due to client needs however we rarely seem to get around to upgrading our own site!
This week we had some slack time however so we made some modifications to several pages. We also added two new pages.The first new page deals with Search Engine Order and Optimization. It shows how well our clients place after we have gotten done with their sites. We have always been VERY proud of how well we do on this but have never put it online before. I guess it is time to brag a little.
The second new page has to do with how we have enhanced the businesses we have done websites for. One notable addition as well is the wonderful note written by one of our clients that really needs to be read and not described for fear of doing it an injustice. :-)
We also re-indexed our internal site search engine so as to pick up all of the changes we have made.

We have had this account for years and revamped it once before... but it was looking dated so we decided it was time. Tons Of Client Site Updates

WOAH! When it rains it pours! A BUNCH of our clients just asked for updates to their sites...Well we finished the overhaul of Precise Auto. We have not yet uploaded it pending approval and additional content from the client. We are proud of it though! Quite an improvement from the one we designed for them in the 90s.
We updated the price list on Nor-Cal Precision's site. Looks like his materials went up and so the cost of the rifles did too.
We have updated a large number of pages for the California Reserve Peace Officers Association site. There is a new 2003 awards section now along with numerous other news updates.
Tactical Intervention closed one of their divisions and so we had to take that portion of the site off the air.
Though the Jardines Custom site is not ready and we are not we could not help but post a testimonial on John Jardine's work on his 'spaceholdr page'.
We have also made some changes and minor updates on this site too such as reorganizing the personal page but nothing to crow about.
Precise Auto Site Revamp, Valtro, & CMP

Finished a MASSIVE update of CRPOA pages today. Also made some organizational changes and removed some cross-linking per their orders.Precise Automotive Repair is coming along well.. have decided FINALLY on how we are going to do the new mouseover buttons etc.

Another one of our clients has returned! We wil be revamping and overhauling Precise Automotive Repair's website. We expect it will be done within a few weeks.We just helped CMP again in a very minor way with their main page.
We are also making a daily stop at several forums and sending reports to John Jardine about the buzz on the Valtro project.

The CMP has allowed us to recode their main page: http://www.odcmp.com. They were having problems with mouse-overs, load time, and other stuff. We redid their page so it looked like it did before but behind the scenes the coding is all new. We also made a bunch of new buttons for the page and a little graphic. (We do not control what they do on this page or changes that they will make.)

With the CMP having recently acquired all of the online rights and responsibilities for the stripping and assembly sections of my website, (and in March having done the same for my Accessories and Nomenclature sections), I find myself with a really cool Internet domain name but nothing of real importance for people to see when they go to my site!

The CMP RETURNS!

We are very proud to announce that we have completed another section of the Civilian Marksmanship Program website. The CMP came back to us a little while ago as a return customer. This time they wanted to acquire the online rights and responsibilities for the Detail Stripping And Assembly section from our M1 Garand website. We were very happy to convert this section for them and we truly believe that it will make a fantastic addition to the CMP website. There is still a little bit left of our M1 site but the CMP now owns most of what we once had. We are very proud to be affiliated with them as content designers.

We are just about finished with the upgrade of the products section for Tactical Intervention Specialists. Mike decided to re-do a large portion of his product line and it fell to MemorablePlaces to get it online. We have all the text up. We are just working on photos and new online owners manuals now.

We were looking over the Nor-Cal Precision site one evening and decided it needed sprucing up a little. To that end we contacted our client Jerry Rice and asked him if we could take some new photos and reorg his pages. His wife made us BBQ and we upgraded his site. :-) That work is now done.

It has been a while since we posted an update! It has been really busy here. Two weeks ago we completed the facelift for the California Reserve Peace Officer's Association Website! We also got them switched off of their old server and are very pleased to have them hosted at what we consider a much better host. Currently we are doing some of the day to day webmastering tasks for them. The CRPOA has to be one of the easiest groups we have worked for. They are organized, know how to communicate, and are helpful with all this webmaster needed to put their site on the air. Good stuff.

MemorablePlaces is very proud to announce that the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) has recently acquired two sections of our website.In 2002 the CMP expressed interest in acquiring about 100 pages worth of our own M1 Garand Rifle site which included a Nomenclature section and an Accessories section.
In late March of 2002 we completed the job of repackaging those areas of the M1 Garand, An American Companion In Three Wars website and we transferred them to the CMP where they are now a permanent part of the CMP website. Terms of the deal are not being disclosed.

Reorganizations Coming

Mike Miller over at Tactical Intervention Specialists just cant sit still! He has developed a line of new slings to replace his old ones. Great for him! We will be redoing his site soon to accommodate his new product line. We will start the photography for that this weekend.Jerry Rice's Nor-Cal Precision site could use some organizational tuning and some new accessory photography.. Well we finished the photography now we just have to redo his organization and post it. This should be coming very soon.
California Reserve Peace Officers Site Work Continues

We are continuing to work on the update and facelift of the CRPOA site. The facelift is going VERY well and the 2 board members that have seen our templates seem to be very pleased. We continue to update the CRPOA site as needed but will not release the facelift for another week or 2. We are also changing servers/providers for the site having found them a MUCH more economical service provider. We are enjoying working with the CRPOA.

Liberty Baptist Church Website Closed:

We are sad to announce that after almost exactly one year of operation that the Liberty Baptist Church Of Modesto Website is now closed. We built a rich and informational website for this church in California. Due to an internal 'restructuring' of the church, they have decided not to have an online presence any longer. LBC was however very pleased with our work. The restructuring and subsequent web project termination was in no way related to website discontent. We are really sorry to see them go. (This was a volunteer project for MemorablePlaces.com)

Valtro Site Coming Along VERY Well :
I am very pleased to announce that MemorablePlaces.com is doing the website for Valtro-USA. The man behind the scenes, John Jardine, is the nephew of the legendary Armand Swenson and the .45s that Valtro is producing are being made to Mr. Jardine's Specifications and supervision. I have fired the Valtro and it is one very nice handgun. We are coming along very well on the site and have all the graphics done and the site structure set up. When the professional photography gets here we will be only a couple weeks from launch if all goes well. I am HOPING that can happen by early July. You folks are gonna love this one.
