| Several years before the death of George Egenhoff, a son of one of the original owners of the mine and married to the authors cousin, told the author that when there was a public party or dance at the Del Portal Hotel in El Portal, the YVRR would run a special train down to Clearinghouse to provide transportation for those wishing to attend the function. |
