It must have been this kind of memo that got the Park Services attention during the days of the relocation of the YVRR and building of Exchequer Dam.

SPECIAL TRAIN SERVICE. YOSEMITE VALLEY RAILWAY

        Effective Feb. 1, 1925, it will not be possible for the Yosemite Valley Railway to handle any special train movements over their line between Merced and El Portal for at least one year.

        This condition is brought about by the construction of a large irrigation dam, to be known as the Exchequer Dam, which will neces- sitate the Yosemite Valley Railways making a line change.

        In addition to the line change mentioned, all other facilities will be utilized in handleing material for construction of the dam.

        In soliciting business for the Yosemite Valley you should advise our patrons that it will be necessary for them to use regular equipment on the regular trains between Merced and El Portal.

        While it has not been definitely settled what the exact time of these trains will be, tentative schedule is:
