Circular No. 291.
SPECIAL TRAIN SERVICE. YOSEMITE VALLEY RAILWAY
Effective Feb. 1, 1925, it will not be possible for the
Yosemite Valley Railway to handle any special train movements over
their line between Merced and El Portal for at least one year.
This condition is brought about by the construction of a large
irrigation dam, to be known as the Exchequer Dam, which will neces-
sitate the Yosemite Valley Railways making a line change.
In addition to the line change mentioned, all other facilities
will be utilized in handleing material for construction of the dam.
In soliciting business for the Yosemite Valley you should advise our patrons that it will be necessary for them to use regular
equipment on the regular trains between Merced and El Portal.
While it has not been definitely settled what the exact time of
these trains will be, tentative schedule is:
Lv. Merced | 08:00 A.M. | 1:40 P.M. |
Ar. El Portal | 12:00 Noon | 05:40 P.M. |
Returning: |
Lv. El Portal | 08:30 A.M. | 01:00 P.M. |
Ar. Merced | 12:15 P.M. | 04:45 P.M. |
Please see that all interested are advised accordingly.
